Summary of this Book...
Alcatraz Smedry returns for his third adventure, this time travelling back to his homeland of Nalhalla. Raised in the Hushlands (i.e. the Western World) under the knowledge-suppressing rule of evil librarians, Alcatraz is completely blown away by what is 'normal' in Nalhalla: There is the wingless dragon doing community service. Knights who live in a big glass castle, on top of a giant glass mushroom (work that one into a conversation - Al & I dare ya!). A prince who thinks he's a fantasy-writer (watch out!) and a critic who dances the kung fu. And to top it all off - Bastille's real name is, er, Bastille. But Alcatraz finds out why.
This type of Book is good for...
Alcatraz I - II readers. There is NO POINT starting half way through this series; not only will it make zero sense, but Alcatraz himself will mock you. Aimed *ahem* for older children and young teens, this book really caters for anyone with a sense of the wacky and sarcastically ridiculous.
I especially liked... | ||
Bastille's sarcastic put-downs and, as always, Alcatraz's wackjob digressions.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Hasten on to Alcatraz IV
