I am a short story addict of major proportions, and this is an oft-visited collection for me. This novel was something of an instant classic in the science fiction genre. The stories are unique, and the writing is expressive, if a bit heavy at times. Very well crafted in general.

Science fiction fans. People who have seen the Johnny Mnemonic (1995) or New Rose Hotel (1998) films may be interested in reading the stories that inspired them as well.

The Gernsback Continuum is probably my favorite story in the collection. It caught my eye because of Gernsback (as in Hugo Gernsback... the Hugo awards?). The story is a fresh take on a classic scifi idea, and I love it.
