Summary of this Book...
A young girl living in a dystopian Chicago is told to hide who she truly is in order to fit into a world that functions on a Faction/categorized based society. However her differences just might save her life.
This type of Book is good for...
Teens and Adults | ||
I especially liked... | ||
The details inherent in the way each faction functions and how they inter-relate.
I didn't like... | ||
Nothing too specific or non-opinionated. I have my own opinions about characters but that's for each reader to decide.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
Read the remaining books in the series. (It's a trilogy but the writer published a couple companion vignettes.)
This Book made me feel...
Alive in both the imaginary world and this one. I enjoy this trend of 'fake dystopia but this is where we could end up if we're not careful' writing come lately.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
Is only 25 yrs old!!! This is the first item of Veronica Roth's that I have read but I look forward to her future projects.
I recommend this Book because...
If you've seen the movie you should read the book! But also it's just a great read in general.
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's not a 'happy-go-lucky' book IMHO. So if you don't enjoy a ton of physical, mental and emotional struggle, this may not be for you.
