Content rating is arguable. Some 13+'s can handle it, other's can't....Angel, the zombie of this books affections is in her early 20s so that probably says something.

First of a series, we meet Angel at the very beginning of her zombie life. She's in a hospital, has no idea how she got there and doesn't know she's been turned.

Fortune shines on her with a cushy new job that keeps her busy and out of trouble.

Working for the coroner is convenient in multiple ways since she needs brains and there's one, or two, serial killers out there that either want her dead or are risking her kinds exposure.

The zombie, vampire, current day fantasy-horror tale with comedic twists.

Angel's 'get it done' attitude that includes bettering herself.

Poor Angel was left to flounder around, a lot. That says more about my opinion of her creator than the book itself.

Human...odd, I know, but regardless of Angels 'condition' she still has very real human problems to deal with, including self-loathing, insecurity, an alcoholic dad and dead beat boyfriend, to name a few.

Knows her audience and has done/been through a lot herself. Surprised she's not a NY Times Bestseller....

It's amusing and forcibly reminds us all that regardless of our situation, we're all human and got our own problems; doesn't mean we have to be monsters. There's no excuse to lose your humanity.

Zombies aren't for everyone. This book is not prissy by any means. If you offend easy...well you probably didn't get past the title anyway.
