Summary of this Book...
This is the autobiography of one of my favorite singers. When I was young, I went to a concert that featured her, The Eagles and Jackson Browne. I have never forgotten the shivers I had listening to them sing separately and together. This is a musical memoir. There is no shocking sex stuff or drug stuff. It is about how she developed musically. She refers to her boyfriends (some of them) as "sweethearts." It is refreshing and written with a lot of heart and class.
This type of Book is good for...
anyone curious about Linda Ronstadt's career.
I especially liked... | ||
the part about skating with someone she didn't know and it ended up being one of the Manson girl killers who was out pending trial. Too strange.
I didn't like... | ||
that she didn't include anything about George Lucas. That puzzled me.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
listen to her music. | ||
This Book made me feel...
like I ended up liking her in spite of a few things she has said and done over the years. I wasn't sure if that would be the case.
The author of this Book...
has a lot of musical knowledge and class.
I recommend this Book because...
it might surprise you if you think you know a lot about Linda Ronstadt. I thought I did, but I didn't.
