In the future, the Hunger Games involve two young people from each of 12 Districts. They are selected to fight to the death - only one can win by surviving.

I wasn't sure this was for me, but Mr. Hooves convinced me to watch it. It is an engaging story with good performances, especially Jennifer Lawrence, Woody Harrelson and Stanley Tucci.

Woody Harrelson. I was surprised that he and Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland were in it. That impressed me.

really centers around Jennifer Lawrence and she is very good, much better than I expected. Now, I want to watch Silver Linings Playbook (I only watched about 20 minutes of it and said forget it) to see her Oscar winning performance.

I am not typically a Science Fiction fan, but this was a great story with fine performances. You can't ask for much more than that.
