Summary of this DVD... | ||
This was part of a 6 pack DVD. This was the final one. If I had a choice, I would choose to never watch George C. Scott do anything because I find his acting wanting. He is Mr. Rochester in this. Jane Eyre is raised in a girl's home by cruel and vicious people. When she is grown she goes to be a governess to a rich man's ward and falls in love with the rich man. The notion that any woman in her right mind would find George C. Scott attractive is beyond me. But I got to know the story and I could see with the right cast how this could be engaging. The story is rather predictable now, but I imagine it was quite original at the time the book was written.
I didn't like... | ||
George C. Scott. I didn't think too much of Susanah York (Jane Eyre) either. The acting was lame.
This DVD made me feel...
like I watched the best movie in the set on Christmas and that was "Her Majesty Mrs. Brown" I also liked Becomming Jane and The Inheritance, much better than this one.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
looks like they all hate George C. Scott. They cannot hide it and I do not blame them. Talk about overrated, unattractive blowhards.
I don't recommend this DVD because...
unless you think George C. Scott is attractive and appealing, run away from this one. Run like the wind.
