Summary of this DVD... | ||
This movie is based on a Louisa May Alcott book. It is about a girl (Edith) who is raised by a family. The family treats her as one of their own, but people outside the family have a great deal of snobby difficulty with this situation. Jealousy plays a big part in this as a female visitor to the family sets her sights on a couple of men who are both infatuated with Edith. I didn't recognize any of the actors except Meredith Baxter, Tom Conti (the parents) and Max Gail (the villain). The young people all remain unknown even though this was made almost ten years ago. This was part of a 6 video DVD that I received for Christmas. I enjoyed the story, but it was not great acting. Still, it entertained me.
This type of DVD is good for...
anyone who likes a heartwarming story with a sort of surprise ending that I saw coming a mile away.
I especially liked... | ||
Tom Conti as the dad. he is always good.
I didn't like... | ||
Max Gail's villain, but I'm not supposed to.
The cast of this DVD... | ||
is okay. I think they could have done better with casting the role of Edith.
