I saw this movie when it was first released. It is a romantic comedy classic with a lot of snappy reparte from Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. They have a lot of chemistry together. Thrown together - he is dating her best friend in college and is roped in to giving her a ride from Chicago to New York, Sally Albright and Harry Burns get to know each other a bit and decide they do not like what they see. Thrown together a couple of more times over the next decade, Harry and Sally reluctantly become friends and even more reluctantly develop grudging feelings for each other.

The movie asks whether men and women who are attracted to one another can still be friends. As in life, I am not sure there is a definitive answer - it is more like a very funny "maybe".

anyone who enjoys a well written, snappy romantic comedy with two amazing stars as leads. Both Crystal and Ryan shine in this one. Meg Ryan has never looked more luminous and that is saying something.

the fact that it is set in New York City and they use the city to its full potential.

keep it in the archives to be watched again. This one is definitely a keeper.

like I was transported back in time to the 1980's, which was a time when I fell in love and got married. It will always be a special time for me.

is wonderful and Rob Reiner did a super job of directing and Nora Ephron knew how to craft a smart, funny script.

Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher shine in supporting roles.

it is very enjoyable to watch and the movie stands the test of time. I know I will watch it again and again. It has been too long since I saw it the first time.
