Summary of this Book...
The setting of Journey of the Heart is in California, Sonoma County, right after World War II. In the story, Rachel Santori, the heir to a California winery at the brink of its ruin, hires James DeMera, a door-to-door Bible salesman who had fought in the war. James aids Rachel in saving her winery, and they fall in love as James finds a home and a calling. The story is fluid, pleasant, and the characters are very well drawn. Most of the main characters' misfortunes has happened in the past. Whatever conflict is left is minor and occurs outside of their relationship, which makes the reading of this book entertaining and worry-free. There are no negatives here, no jealousies, hate, or revenge, and the only strong emotion is romantic love.

The story is short enough to be enjoyed in one sitting whether you are at the beach or on your easy chair enjoying a glass of wine, making believe it is the Santori Chardonnay. In short, this is another happy, heart-warming tale of love from the experienced pen of Stephanie Burkhart.
