Summary of this Book...
A young boy is missing from a pretigious school in England. Scotland Yard Inspector Thomas Lyndley is called in on the case along with his partner, Sgt. Barbara Havers. The person who calls him in is the boy's headmaster and an old school friend of Lyndley's from Eton. This is the 3rd novel in the Inspector Lyndley series of mysteries. The boy's body is found and a lot of bad things are uncovered about the school and Lyndley soon finds that his old school friend is high up on the list of suspects..
This type of Book is good for...
anyone who enjoys a good mystery. This is the 4th one of Elizabeth George's I have read and it was excellent. Her books always build things up to the point where in the last 100 pages, I can barely put the book down.
I especially liked...
Sgt. Barbara Havers and what goes on with her and her parents. She has to care for them and work full time as a police investigator and it is a tough thing.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
read more of Elizabeth George's books and I will.
This Book made me feel...
like I was right there with the characters trying to unravel the sad mystery of why the lovely little lad died.
The author of this Book...
knows how to keep the reader interested in her detective characters. I am loving reading this and she has a bunch of them out there and has been writing them since the late 1980's. She is still writing.
I recommend this Book because...
it was a great read. It was written in 1990 or so, but that didn't do anything to diminish a great bit of storytelling.
