Summary of this Book...
The main character, Jude, is an aging rock star who still has the charisma to charm younger girls. But after he grows bored with them he sends them on their way. After one these girls allegedly kills herself, Jude buys a dead man's jacket, as he's a collector of the macabre. Little does he know that's it the suit of the dead girl's stepdad, and it was her sister who sent it to him, claiming Jude was the reason for her sister's suicide. A great ghost story!
This type of Book is good for...
Typical horror readers who enjoy the styles of Stephen King and Clive Barker.
I especially liked... | ||
The fast pace, as Jude finds himself and his new 'fling' racing to get rid of their tormentor. Also, the book has many references to the group AC/DC!
I didn't like... | ||
Nothing at all. | ||
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Buy his next book, which is 20th Century Ghosts.
I recommend this Book because...
This young man is following in his father's shadow, but he's doing it on his own. Stephen King is proud, I'm sure.
Further Comments... | ||
Joe Hill is a rising talent in the genre of horror, but he's not limited only to that. He writes in other styles, and his short story 'Pop Art' has been published in more than one anthology.
