The main characters, Rand al'Thor, Matrim Cauthon, and Perrin Aybara set out on the journey of a lifetime. When their small village of Emond's Feild is attacked by trollocs, creatures of the Dark One, they have an important decision to make. Their choices are to leave with mysterious strangers, Moiraine and Lan, or stay in their village and risk another attack. Their lifelong friend Egwene and a man named Thom accompany them on their perilous journey.

I think that it has a great storyline and everything about it just leaves you wondering what will happen next.

It is the first in a series of very long books and if you don't read that often you might not want to start the series.

I highly reccomend this book to fantasy/sci-fi fans. The series that it is in is called The Wheel of Time.
