I am a former college professor - I think I had a nervous breakdown. Anyway, I quit the profession, sold my home, and moved to Seattle to lead a quiet life. Writing has been my vehicle of recovery. I had a fairly successful publication record as an academic - all pretty dry stuff. These days I can found writing just about anything.
