I'm a forty-something mom of two who writes to work through those experiences of life that all trip us up.
The poem "For Whom the Bell Tolls" was created back in college while working through the teenage experience of taking care of a terminally-ill mother, a father trying to keep it all together and three siblings.
I'm currently working on my memoirs "Swimming in a Sea of Animosity" based off a relationship seeped in domestic violence. I wanted to look at what got me into it, what kept me staying, what got me out of it. Eventually, I knew then, it was time to grab the kids and run. And we did so, with nothing but the clothes on our backs.
