Loretta Murphy blends poetry, fantasy, singing and perfoming into her writing about Ireland. Murphy's first novel, The Pipes Are Calling, (ISBN 142414826X) is an Irish-American historical fantasy about the Molly Maguires, the Irish born hard coal miners who were pioneers of the American Labor Movement. Her recent release, Irish Roads, (ISBN1606107607 ) is a poetic journey across Ireland chronicled by Murphy in celebration of a 21 day solo sojourne there in 2005.
