Raised to respect practicality and achievements, hobbies purely for pleasure are a luxury in which I do not typically indulge. As a child, my parent's did not encourage my avid writing or reading, though I can understand why - to them, writing was not a route that would provide me with a solid career or future. Regretfully though, it feels like I have let that talent become only a memory. Yet now, with 31 years and a variety of life experiences informing who I am, I will dust off my writing skills and push them to their limit. I want to know what I can do.
