I am an avid reader and writer looking for critiques and advise before I start looking for publishers. I read mainly science fiction and fantasy and write mainly fantasy. I'm not a conventional writer, my fantasy tends to buck trends. I'm not an "everybody writes it like this" kind of writer. There are only so many ways to portray (insert your favorite fantasy creature), I try to find a different way. I don't write sexual scenes for titillation, they are usually there because that's the character, not to fulfill the fantasies of the reader. There's plenty of that available elsewhere.
