Born in 1957 (a great year for cars) I was a geek before the trend. Raised by maternal grandparents (born 1896 and 1901) I'm an only child that had to behave and be quiet. Got the 'quiet' part down okay. Quietest thing to do was to read, and instead of bothering them with constant yapping I wrote. A lot. Wish I kept it all. Never married, have no kids but my cat and care for my mother. I thought she was an aunt; a great lesson in being good to and with everyone, just in case. Never submitted or published anything. Too scared. I think I might here.
