A little info about moi. |
Why I became a member of Writing.com! I’ve been an avid writer for the last ten years or more. I’ve written many novellas, poems, short stories and articles, etc., in that time frame. I'm addicted to writing and I do it with passion! I can’t seem to put the pen down or stop typing away on my computer. My greatest joy came when I got my first article published in Woman’s World of the year 2000. Then two years later I got another article published in the same magazine. Then it seemed to be every year that I’d get something published in various places. I worked very hard to get these articles accepted and sent many things in. Now I have a record of twelve items published and I feel very blessed. I wanted to say that if anyone thinks they can’t be published, they can! They can make their dreams come true with a lot of hard work and patience. I’ve never been the best with spelling or grammar. As a matter of fact, English was my worst subject in elementary school. I’ve had to learn by reading dozens of books, posting in various forums and writing stories, etc. I am a “self taught” writer. I started writing Sci-Fi stories, i.e., Twilight Zone style in June of 2005. I became such an addict with this style of writing. I would write one to two stories a day. I couldn’t stop! I really needed feedback for my stories and it wasn’t always convenient for others to read my long drawn out stories that take up a lot of time. I searched forums for some place that I could post my stories to no avail. Until I found Writing.com. I registered and put 18 items in my portfolio right away. Within 24 hours I was up to 60 items. I’m constantly editing my stories every day and entering various contests. I just love all the feedback here on this website. I’ve learned so much about the art of writing it’s unbelievable. I always thought writing was an easy task, but then I realized just recently how hard it can really be. I want to thank all the people here at Writing.com for their suggestions, comments and support. Thanks to all of you, my children’s stories are polished to perfection! Now I can send them to publishers with confidence. Wish me luck on them! *fingers crossed* |
