Silence filled the night as the full moon rose high above the lone streets of France, music and laughter swayed in the breeze, but no one saw as the wolf changed into a young girl, Her long black hair flowed gently down to her waist in a wisp of Spanish curls. Her skin shun brightly against the black dress she wore. Beside her another wolf came, almost lager than the child herself and sat down by the girls' side. The girl frowned at the wolf; "will I ever be rid of you Que?"
The wolf just looked at her and tilted its head a grin on its face showing razor sharp teeth. The child not at all intimidated looked around noting the silence. The girl was very disappointed to find no one there as she looked up and down the street. Que she said a tint of longing in her voice, "I want to play, can we please go somewhere fun? Maybe where there are people?" The child tilted her head battered her eyelashes. The wolf turned its head towards the ally way ignoring the girl. "Que this is France the streets are supposed to be full of people. I want to play!" The begged again but the wolf ignored her more. Suddenly standing on all fours, the wolf stepped in front of the child a low growl coming from its throat.
Que cursed to himself. Had his attention not been fully on the child he would have known about the ambush that awaited them. He bared his teeth at the humans who began to surround them. The sent of fear came from all of them, which meant there was only one who leader. Que searched each face hopping to find the leader. Behind him Que heard the child cry out, he turned quickly seeing a man launch forward blade in hand. Without hesitating Que sized the man by his throat, breaking his windpipe as he flung him aside, there was no time to enjoy the kill. The child began to cry a crying so beautiful it tore his heart. Feeling himself get distracted Que snapped at the girl a warning to be quiet. Quickly getting the message the child was silent, curling herself into a small ball she sat still waiting for the fight to be over.
(indent}Half blocking the child out of his mind Que searched for the leader once again. Knowing that with out the leader the rest would be likely to scatter with out their hero. Dogging two swords he tore at the throats of two men, finally he found the leader when he heard the child scream. His very soul tore apart as he watched one of the humans grab the girl. Forgetting the leader he charged at the human who dared put his filthy hand on his child. Before Que was able to reach them a burning feeling exploded in his chest. Falling to the ground he noticed the arrow sticking out of him, blood seeped out as he pulled it out of his body. Try as he might Que could gather the strength to go to the girl. The world around him began to gray and his head felt light and hardly there Que had to remind himself to breathe, no matter how much the pain, In his world of nothingness Que heard the most beautiful voice call to him, it took what seemed like eternity to recognize the voice as the child. The world came back to view and Que watched helplessly as they carried the girl away. Her hand was reached out towards him tears streaming down her pink cheeks.
"I'll come for you" he said in her mind as he tried to get up but only to find himself on the ground once again. "I'll save you...wait for me" the world began to fade again but before darkness fully took him over the one last thought ran through his mind. I will save her, the child I was bond to protect. wait for me......Luna
