A poem inspired by the book: You Don't Know Me.
How dare you.
How dare you look at me
with contempt and disgust.
You have no right!
You have taken everything;
my hopes...
my dreams...
my voice
You left me with nothing!
What right do you have
to look at me now
with those eyes?

How I hate those eyes....
To the world they are soft and soulful,
but the world has never seen them
the way I have.
Dark abysses, biding their time,
waiting to fill their emptiness with my pain.
The world has never seen them
as the house begins to empty.
The joy growing with each blow,
trying to fulfill their hunger for flesh.

There is only one thing you haven’t yet
dared to take
although I feel your restraint slipping.
The one thing I have left,
the thing you despise the most.
My life
