A poem about anything not ordinary, and anything that is beautiful.
Coffin.

If there was one question to be asked,
for me, it would be simple.
What if a roses thorns were dull,
and its fragrance burned the nostrils of every person, expecting beautiful aromas?
What if love, burned in your soul, leaving an everlasting tattoo?
And, what if, maybe,
you leaned close to me, and smelled my hair,
underneath the moon, you kissed my cheeks?
What if, laying there in the dead of night,
I would toss with no sleep, stuck in every detail of your face.
That face, which has haunted my nights,
my days, my dreams.
touching your hand, I never understood, why your gentle grace did not return mine.
I waited in your shining light,
the backbone to the jellyfish,
and yet, no sound was heard, as I drowned in your pool of ignorance.
Now, as I look upon your lifeless visage I wonder,
could I have changed the immediate fate that sat before you,
your desinty, hiding behind those eyes. Those eyes, that behind them, were black with tears.
Now, as I stare at you in that big, black, box,
I understand, I understand why your eyes never shined into mine,
I understand, why you could not share your life, and why, I had to be without your touch.
Your hair all gone,
your eyes, sunken back,
you were leaving,
and now I stand at your side,
as I always was,
in life, in death, I was yours.

DEDICATED TO HIM.
