LOVE AND TRUST



What is love and what is trust?
Are they different things?
Or of a game one and same,
Two different innings?

Trust is that earned by someone,
To whom for help one clings;
But this process by itself
A feeling of love brings.

Love is when without a thought
We give someone our heart,
Unmindful of the other’s
Willingness to play part.

Are then the two, love and trust,
In essence one and same?
Is love the same thing as trust?
Is trust love’s other name?

I think love is more basic;
Trust comes along with love.
Love happens in an instant;
Trust has to develop.
