A poem I wrote December, 1999 about not being able to talk to someone you loved.
We sit here side by side,
But I'm lonely.
You seem a million miles away.
Our hearts are breaking,
Screaming to be heard,
Yet, we ignore them, and sit in silence.
Silence-the binding tie between us.
What once seemed loving and beautiful
Is now filled with pain and sadness.
I don't know where to start,
You don't know how to end it,
So we sit here in silence, miles away,
Me here,

You there.
