Suicide of the mind

Open slits of bleeding light
Of cold wet darkness, of blackest night
A bubbling brook, a bloody stream
An open mouth, a soundless scream
But my heart is my pain, it’s my thoughts that you see
For these cuts are internal
And emotions don’t bleed
And though I now live
And my pain I can hide
I know that deep down
I am dying inside
