A little project I carried out in my grade 12 year. It was working too well.
So, when I went into grade 12, there was this new math teacher named Mr. Patten. He seemed like a shy type of guy and he was for the most part, in the beginning anyway. After a while, if you were to look in on one of his classes you would see him standing on a chair waving his arms frantically trying to get everyone in class to understand exactly what he was saying. For the most part, it worked. If anyone did a bad job in his class, it's because they didn't even bother to listen.
Well, in the beginning, I would just watch him up in front of the class. There was something about him that was different that other teachers. He seemed shy, yes, but it was also as if there was something else there in his mind when he looked at you. Now, I still don't now if it was like that for everyone, or if it was just like that for me. How can I explain it... lets try... , He's in front of the class giving a lecture while looking over everyone in the class. His eyes fall on you and he sees that you are actually paying attention to what he is saying. There is almost like a spark of joy in his eyes at that moment. So as he continues to speak he is now only consentrating on you. Now, what happens next is not only on his part at first. See, what I did at this time was slowly change the expression on my face, Just slightly though not even much at all. what I did was take my mind away from the math and just consentrated on him. Then what happened was his face changes and he starts to faulter a little when he speaks, while still keeping his eyes on you at all times. His face would get a little flushed and he would always start to smile and it would not leave his face until he sat down in the back of the room after his lecture.
