~*~:: Love, Genesis: Part I ::~*~

The rain poured vividly on the dark and cold streets of Mathog as a strange, hooded woman wearing black leather suit and high-heeled boots stands in a mysterious alley. She was tugging at something in the air with her hands as if pulling at something solid where no solid thing could ever be. In the distance wing flaps could be heard from some strange winged man approaching. The hooded woman abruptly stops as her hood falls off to reveal a pale faced, black haired woman with crimson red eyes. She hears the wing flaps and looks in the direction in which the flapping came. Under her breath the word "Neviko" can be heard. The woman stands in a ready-to-fight pose with her arm in her pocket as she waits for the winged man, Neviko, to arrive. A sudden shriek fills the air, one that sounds like a hawks cry, as the winged man lands onto the city streets. The two strange figures stand facing each other, each about ten feet away. The man smiles warmly as he sees the disgusted look on the woman's face.


"Long time no see" The winged man speaks.
"Let's make this visit quick and short, Neviko" The hooded figure who we now know is a woman replies.
"Whatever you say, Genesis" Neviko grins tauntingly at Genesis.


Spreading his wings Neviko prepares for flight. Genesis stands with her hand close to her dagger in her side pocket. In an instant she pulls out her dagger and lunges for his left wing but Neviko, predicting her actions flaps his wings at her causing her to fall back and allowing him to fly up in the air. Genesis takes out a crossbow from her left boot and aims for Neviko's wing again. This time the hit lands and Neviko plunges to the ground with a great thud. Genesis slowly walks to Neviko's half conscience body on the floor holding her crossbow to his head.


"Do you surrender? Or do I have to shoot this through your head?"
Slowly Neviko turns his head, his pale blue eyes gleaming in the dark. "You wouldn't."
With a haughty smile on her face she kicks his head down to the ground fiercely. "Why wouldn't I?"
Not moving Neviko keeps his face to the ground. Genesis' arrow is at the back of his neck "'Cause you're the good guy."
"I don't always have to be a good girl."
"I know you better than that."

With his other wing Neviko knocks Genesis down to the ground, phased, Genesis is unable to stop Neviko.
"See ya, babe, nice girls always finish last."

Neviko seems to be pulling an invisible zipper in the air and slips into the invisible opening, escaping.
"Shit!"

7:15AM, Monday

"Wake up sleepy head!" Toki yells from the hallway.
"Nmmm?" Rae, still in bed sneaks a glance at the time on her broken alarm clock.
"Common! Today we've got finals!" Toki, putting on her shoes yells to her sleepy roommate.
"AAAAH!" Rae, grasping the fact they were late for class, jumps out of bed and rushes through her morning duties.

On their way to school, Toki and Rae run into Kevin in the hallways they stop for a quick conversation.

Kevin has bandages on his head and warmly smiles at his two friends. "Hey, if isn't the two most beautiful ladies in the world, don't you guys have a final to do?"
"What's wrong with your head Kevin?" Rae gently touches the bruises and bandages on her crush's head.
"Oh its nothing, just last night I was rearranging my bookcase and it kind of fell on me" Kevin, putting a smile on his face, doesn't want his crush to worry about him.
Toki sprang a glance to her watch "Common Rae we're seriously late!", and she pulled her away toward their first class of the day.

4:00 PM

Rae is sitting on a bench next to a fountain absorbing the beautiful scenery of her high school. Toki had left with her boyfriend Chad on a date and Rae had insisted she didn't want to be a third wheel. The sky was perfectly clear and the moon could be seen in the daylight as Rae entered a state or bliss and relaxation after finishing all her exams. She was studying to become a veterinarian. As she sat there Kevin came and took a seat next to her he leaned back against the bench and looked up at the sky.
"Nice day we're having, eh?"
Surprised that she didn't notice him next to her, Rae jumped out of her seat.
"AAH! You scared me!"
He placed his hand on her shoulder, which did nothing to calm her down because he was just satisfying her need for him to touch her.
"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you."
The moment his hands touched her, she tensed, she wasn't used to being touched by others. He could sense that she was uneasy and he wasn't very sure about what he was doing either but some how they found themselves on the bench with his arm behind her head and them both looking at the fountain. They had known each other since the first grade and were now in their first year of high school.
"Um, you know, the real reason why I came to talk to you was because. I ...I um....."
She looked into his pale blue eyes, the eyes that every time she looked into seemed to bring her into a trace "Hmm?"
"Um...did I tell you that you look pretty in that outfit?" he couldn't bring himself to tell her what he really felt.
She blushed. "Thank you." she expected him to say something else but it was nice of him to notice her new green and red plaid skirt and lime green t-shirt. She wanted to just grab him by the collar and confess her love for him but she couldn't get the courage to. He got off the bench and put out his hand to help her up. "He's such a gentlemen" she thought. He took both of her hands into to his.
"What I really want to ask you is… if you were free this Saturday and if----"
"Rae-San! Rae-San!" Toki came rushing up to Rae; she was exhausted and had been running quickly and at a far distance.
"What's the matter Toki?" Rae, annoyed because her moment with Kevin was over, looked over at her friend.
"*Puff* there's been a bombing at the theatre and *puff* Chad's stuck in the fire!" Toki and Rae shared a glance and they both thought that Genesis would be of help right now.
"Umm...I'm going to go call Genesis" Toki said
"Ok I'll come with you, Kevin um I guess we're going to have to postpone this conversation" and both girls were off toward their dormitory.
