This is a poem from childhood about the fall of mankind and its imploding nature
With your smoking ruins and toxic waste,
With your harmful actions from a wasteful race,
With a press of a button, the worlds doom is sealed
And we’ll be saved by a ‘human genetics’ shield.
“The worlds our own”, but “in God we trust”
Yet you can’t even control your selfish lust.
A despotic regime, where a million Hitler’s found,
And your evil acts make a world to which we’re bound.
From our founding fathers to our mothers wombs
A quest for knowledge, and a path to our tombs.

A stewards choice, from which we try to hide,
And one that old governments tried to push aside.
A “world of peace” in the eyes of a child,
Is slowly perverted, so that it’s no longer so mild
A world poisoned by technological powers,
So a cancer spreads, and acid rain showers.
With your global warming drowning us in hopelessness,
Trying to stop a landslide into which we fall powerless.
A decrepit landscape which you hand us children
Forged from your arrogance, and unwillingness to listen.
