What my idea of the perfect man is...
He’s everything I’ll ever need,
He gives me hope; he makes me believe.
He makes my eyes shine brighter and my smile glow.
Too bad this is a love I’ll never know.
Apparently, I ask too much.
Someone to care, be loyal, to trust,
Loves to cuddle and to kiss…
All the things that I’ve seemed to miss.
The lonely ache in the heart of my soul,
Only makes me yearn for him more.
Down my face stream tears of anger, lost hope, disbelief.
When will my heart finally find relief?
Don’t I deserve to be happy like everyone else?
Every day, hour, minute, is a heart-wrenching hell.
But I still go on, even though it’s a passionately pointless search.
I’d forage forever just to stop the hurt.
But it’s a fate forbidden,
My soul mate is cleverly hidden.
So I fight the urge, but I can’t resist.
Even though I know my perfect man will never exist.
