Lost I wander beneath a vast moonrise.
Vast Moonrise

Lost I wander beneath a vast moonrise
Looming deep in a pseudo-aquatic underground
My breath that of island wind caressing a gentle day
Held far below the crimson stain coating the line of unending sky
I chase false gods and empty spirits in my quest for tales of endless beginnings
Often around the birth of firelight casting powerful rays of burnt desires
Still untold the origin awaits a time when it becomes again what it once was
It is the way I follow in hopes of achieving the grandest delusions of immortalities final day
My never quiet day chasing a suns son through the eternal window of deafening darkness
What becomes of a shadow if darkness falls upon it ethereal form?
No illumination to sustain an ever present force
I never question light as it fades from my unseeing eyes
My body lost to the burden of colorless winds
Carrying the unannounced rainbow always just out of reach
The point is dull as fingers bleed groping through fractured lives of dreamers long forgotten
Looking for the glint of unsoiled steel to extinguish fires and voices ever lurking
I soar among destroyed worlds in a haze of translucent mist masking the hidden smile of long missed battles
Never searching for what I find on the blood drenched fields of the harvesters ball room
I wish to walk the clouds, white and unstained by the sharp words of long tongued serpents
A promise of vindication for the slaughter of those who suffer difference
The deliverance of broken families sates the appetite of overbearing demons
But the bittersweet taste of retribution drowns in a pool of ever dry salt
Leaking from faces of ghosts following shadows through barren steps of once sacrificed memories
My spirit forever living through the haunted way of ever present sins
I call for the death of death to end my destiny guided by hands of fate
Beneath the lost greeting of a vast moonrise
