A young maiden in the hands of the scoundrel
There was a big black spider
That lived within his house
All day long he hid away
As quiet as a mouse

He worked and worked every day
His silken web to spin
His body was exotic and
His legs were long and thin

The spiders eyes were flashing
and he had a cunning smile
The web had awesome beauty
You could see it for a mile

A tiny little butterfly
who happened to take flight
Was passing by the spider's lair
And much to his delight

He saw her velvet beauty
So soft and warm and fair
And called to her with fetching words
That no one can compare

"Come over here and sit awhile
And take a little rest
It's safe and warm and comfortable
And you can be my guest."

He spun his web around her
And deceived her with his lies
She drank his toxic potion
Even though it wasn't wise

He crushed her little velvet wings
And broke her little heart
He devoured all her beauty
...... each and every part

And as she cried and slowly died
He laughed and went his way
To hide and wait anothers fate
Upon another day
