In my sorrow I see him laying in his bed.
My old buddy who's passing I will dread.
He can no longer see, hear, or even smell.
Arthritis in his legs is worse and swelled.
Many years he always followed my feet.
Now he can not even keep up with me.
He is not my dog just old buddy of mine.
My late Mom's dog who enjoyed his time.
Became her companion in her later years.
When she was alone he eased her fears.
Unconditional love he gave to my Mother.
This old dog deserved love like no other.
He gave unconditional love to both of us.
Not a more loving dog he gained my trust.
Sleep old buddy drift off in an eternal rest.
God made dogs and you're the very best.
Bandit, was truly love by all who knew him.
He returned love as would any good friend.
He's just an old dog some others would say.
So my old Buddy is in my memories to stay.
