I Miss You

I have not seen you in so long. I want to cry out when I think of how much I yearn to hold you. It is hard to get through the hands of time. When I look at your face in my mind's eye, it shows me the love that I need to help me make it through to the next day.

I miss you when the days go by. Too few are the times we share. Drench me with your thoughts while you are gone. Tell me with your mind's voice, how much you love me. I need to hear it, sense it, feel it. When you come to get me I will fly to you with my soul on fire. I will leap with pure joy when I am in your arms once more.

Soon I will see you in my dreams. That is the one place I can count on. I hope the night comes soon, so that we can dance by the light of the moon and the stars. Dream of me as I dream of you. Each night is our time to share with no reigns.

The light of day will come and end my grand scene. The sun will spill through the blinds and crash my sleep. I will then face the new day with such grief. If I could see you now it would bring great peace to my heart.

I will wait right here for you, my sweet.
