Talks about a dream about how the world needs to change.
One night as I slept,
A dream came unto me,
I was swept away from my home,
To go out into the world to see.

I saw the homeless,
Freezing in the cold,
Wishing for a home,
Both the young and old.

I saw the dying,
Seconds away from death,
Trying to hold onto life,
Gasping for one more breath.

I saw the orphans,
Dreaming about a home,
Dreaming about their parents,
Which most have never known.

I saw the sick,
Trying to find a cure,
Praying for a tomorrow,
Their future is unsure.

I saw the solidersm
Fighting across the sea,
Thinking about their safe home,
And their worried families.

I saw the murders,
And victims with their fates,
A single scream before a shot,
Was a few seconds too late.

I saw the poor,
Trying to find a job,
Trying to buy their own food,
Instead being forced to rob.

Then a light came to my eyes
And a voice came to my ears,
The voice whispered to me,
Please end these people’s tears.

Make the homeless have a home,
And try to save a life,
Be a parent to an orphan
Comfort a soldier’s wife.

Bring peace to disagreements,
Take your opinion and make a stand,
Give the poor some money,
Lend them a helping hand,

The next morning,
I woke with a different view,
I was sent here for a purpose,
There is work for me to do.

I will make a difference,
I will stand and fight,
I will change someone’s life,
I will shine my light.

The world has gone to turmoil,
We have to change our ways,
We have to help each other,
We have to start today.
