This is a commentary on what a normal life is about.
NORMAL

What is normal? That’s a question a lot of us think about and mention from time to time. I quite often hear people say that life would be so much better if things were just normal. Again, though, I say, ‘What is Normal’? Does anyone really know?

I think my life is normal. Other people looking at my life would probably say it is anything but normal. I have a husband who can’t work right now because he has Prostate Cancer. He is home all day and takes care of the house and me. I work four mornings and one full day as a secretary at a hospital. Paul, my husband, cooks, cleans, picks me up from work and makes sure all my needs are met. To me this is Normal. Anybody reading this would say I am very lucky but that this is not normal.

To some people, normal might be a family where both parents work, the children are happy and well behaved and everyone pulls together to make life great.

To others, normal might be a single parent family working hard to make ends meet. Too tired at the end of a busy day to do more than lie down and cry. Life is very hard for this single parent but this is his/her normal.

Life itself can be normal for everyone. It just depends on your definition and what you think normal really is. Our definitions are probably different based on what our lives have been like. I hope for you that your normal is wonderful. I know that mine is.
