Winter

Albescence covered the ground,
And buried the flowers,
Wind was the only sound
Heard from many yards.

The trees have slept,
And jade has already gone,
the only thing it kept
Were the branches from Fall.

Animals hidden in their home,
Comfy and cozy.
Reminiscing the sun that shone
In summer and spring.

Escape and dream
Of the world of warmth,
A flowing stream
Hot and vaporous.

This glacial age,
Has frozen my moves;
A bird in a cage,
Waiting to be set free.
