A Letter to a Lost Love

Dear undestined lover,

Of all hearts I have visited and felt yours was truly enchanting. You caught my heart with your simplest actions. I felt like dancing in sapphire skies, a butterfly soaring with your wings.

After spending days of endless happiness and tenderness, I dared not confide my true emotions in you. I was in doubt if you shared the same feelings, feelings of love and passion. I saw words dancing in your eyes, perhaps you too had something to tell me, your words needed to come out to the world, to me. But why did we keep our deadly silence?! As if we were timed out for not saying the magic words, we began a descent.

My descent was brutal and vicious, you sent deep cuts all over my body, my heart’s cut was the deepest. I tried to fight the pain in different ways, but the cure was all in your hands. I needed them around me, stroking my hair gently, telling me I’ll always be safe with you. I ache for you, your face, and your eyes that expressed your eternal love. But all what I felt now was pain of your absence.

I believe that some people may come in our lives to teach us a lesson, to make us become better persons or even to make us happy. However, they leave when their job is done.
So I thank you for every thing and goodbye until an unknown union.
