Where I found true happiness
Laughing at the top of our lungs, running through the grass, finding ourselves in crazy situations, my friends and i found true happiness. The wind is blowing our hair everywhere and we realize we don't even care that we don't look perfect anymore and that our hair is a tangled mess. Because we're free, free from any obligations, any boy, and from all our worries, we're just free...at least for a few hours. We don't shuffle around the way we usually do, we leap for joy. We think "can this utter happiness be found anywhere else?"
We love each other and that's why it is so wonderful. We don't care about each other's looks, popularity, money, or clothes. We embrace each other's differences, we love each other's personalities. We cry for all our sorrows, celebrate all our joys. We are girls with a strong zest for life.
Eventually we must return to the real world, where we work and have to go to school. Where people care what you look like, and where you're from. Where people are wary of differences and are very self-involved. But our short-lived freedom gives us the energy to live in this world, which, despite it's many flaws, is wonderful.
So what is true happiness? Fame and Fortune? I don't think so. It's in the people around you and the experiences you share. True happiness does not cost a single thing.
