You're Fat

Well, he said it. He said I was fat. Not in exactly those words, but it all equals the same doesn't it? I think his exact words were:
"I know that we have both gotten older and our bodies aren't the same, but I miss your athletic body (he's referring to my 25 year old body, I'm 41.) I wish you were in better shape. I am still attracted to you, it's a matter of degree. It's just not as intense." He did, at least, preface everything with how much he loves me, which I do not doubt.

I think what he meant is that he's not physically attracted to me anymore because I'm fat. Well, damn! I am finally free of children, free from making children and feeling sexier than I have in a long time. I am a powerful career woman and a talented artist. I have the world by the tail and he's not attracted. Weight made my breasts larger which he loves, but it also made my ass larger (it's all balance.) I had a health screening and although I could definitely use some toning, I am not clinically FAT.

I have to wonder if this is the beginning of his mid life crisis (He's 43). How long before he finds someone with a 25 year old body. Of course she could not, would not, be as witty or charming or as sophisticated. Sophomoric is more likely. He's already researching motorcycles, and I suppose he'll want to have some skinny thing in daisy dukes and crop-tops riding behind. I suppose he'll get bored, and of course he'll be stiff, not because of her, but because of his old body.
