ANGEL WARRIORS -- BK 3: HEAVENBOUND

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I'm storing my unedited WIP and NOTES here so I can access it from other locations. This way, I can work on it when I don't have access to my home computer. The Items posted here vary from random NOTES, to SCENES, to FIRST DRAFT CHAPTERS; all is in WIP, so ratings won't be allowed at this time.

"Rescued" by Michael, Mihdael returns to Heaven; close to death, Mihdael refuses Michael's help, so Raphael intervenes. Concerned by Mihdael's anger toward Michael, and his apathy, Raphael tries to restore Mihdael's mental/spiritual health as well as physical health -- with limited success.

Nearly recovered, Mihdael confronts Michael, demanding answers; he then refuses to rejoin the Army and to reclaim his title as Second-in-Command. Until Michael meets certain conditions, Mihdael refuses to re-join the Army in any capacity. God agrees to allow Mihdael to act on his own behalf, apart from the Army. Mihdael is still an outcast, still atoning for his transgression in the "ELENA" chapter (Book One: EarthBound).

At a loss, Michael backs off. The Archangel, knowing of Mihdael's great love for Elena, tries to understand that aspect of Mihdael's character. Michael visits Earth (California, 1840's)in an attempt to understand 'love'. He falls in love with a servant girl, Serafina, and intends to ask God for permission to marry her. Before answering, God sends him on a mission; just before he leaves, Michael encounters Mihdael. Placing Mihdael in temporary command, Michael's mood is uncharacteristically joyous -- much to Mihdael's wonderment.

During his mission, Michael is captured and dissembled by a powerful demon, Omni; Omni reassembles Michael to be exactly the opposite of what he was. Michael is now evil, and a powerful enemy of God and Heaven. God summons Mihdael, gives him a duplicate of the Sword of the Archangel, and tells him to stop Michael. God leaves the matter entirely in Mihdael's hands: Mihdael can either capture Michael (if possible) and return him to God, or he can destroy Michael with the duplicate Sword. Mihdael asks Uriel to aid him; and Uriel begins to wonder if Mihdael will take this opportunity to claim Command of the Army for good.
