THE HAUNTING

She lived in a mansion
Far out in the hills;
Life wasn't quite fair so
She cured her ills

And bid goodbye to the world
That had treated her wrong;
She thought it was over,
Untill she heard this song:

"They say it was haunted,
This mansion of old;
They've seen her walking
And the rooms were all cold."

Tears filled her eyes
As she knew this was worse;
To forever walk the halls
Of the mansion was her curse.

"They say it was haunted
This mansion of old;
They still see her walking
And the rooms still stay cold."

Her life as a ghost
Is not what she would choose;
She has only a white robe
And can not wear shoes.

If she must haunt a mansion
This one will have to do..
But she'd hoped for escape
To a much nicer view.
