Awakening

I had a dream last night
You were lying next to me
I was curled up in your arms
Peaceful as can be
I woke to morning sunshine
Cold and all alone
I wished that I could call you
But I knew you weren't at home
When I get to see your face
I feel happiness overflowing
But it happens oh so rarely
And it kills me never knowing
When I'll get to see
Your wonderful smile again
Though last time that I saw it
We were nothing more than friends
So I'm putting pen to paper
Just to let you know
I miss you my darling
And Love you even more
