  This is a book about...

Three orphans who's parents were killed in a fire in the first book and they are sent off for a whole village to look after them. An evil geniouse has got thier friends (who are also orphans)imprisoned. The Baudelaire children (the orphans) face a struggle of finding their friends while having to escape from prison having been accused of murder.

  I especially liked...

I liked the things that the Baudelaires had to face and the in genious plans they have to come up with to save not only thier own necks, but others too.

  I didn't like...

Througout each book in the series the plot becomes repeatative and you can always predict what the ending will be.
Once you've read the ending to the first book, sometimes to me there seems no point in reading the last couple of chapters in the others.

  This book made me feel...

It is a fairly sad story only not one to make you blub. I didn't feel that Snicket really was writing his best in this series.

  The author of this book...

Doesn't make it believable enough. I believe that he probably a very good author but is not particullaly showing it in this work.

  I recommend this book because...

Even though it's not fantastic it makes you wonder what V.F.D is.

I don't recommend this book because...

Really if you've read the first you've read them all. Like I said before the plot gets repetative.

  Further Comments...

You don't have to read them in order or anything like that but it would be better, and you would understand the plot better, I would certainly read th first one before going on to the others.
