Thunder boomed
my heart stopped, stricken!
glass goblet dropped to the ground in slow motion
shattering
edges catching the light
heart breaking
light filtering through

lightning flashed in the back of my mind,
YELLOW
streaks of yellow
portraying my beloved with an intruder
betrayed!

GREEN
green, poisonous ivy
the colour of hated jealousy
watching
a tongue darted out
his into her mouth

somewhere
lightning struck a tree
flames erupted
leaping, licking my skin
scorching hot
burning RED

her arms wrapped around him;
a snake coiled around my feverish heart
they kissed,
the snake hissed ,
seething RED, raw anger

running away...
panting
running, fleeing
body shaking with sobs
GREY sky
gloominess swallowing me

the heavy clouds broke and a storm raged
Rain,
pitter-patter, pitter-patter
falling on my skin,
hotness vapourising
steam drifted into the heavens
anger dissipating
heart empty
a black hole
BLACK

sorrow overcomes the coldness
tears mingling with the rain
salty
grief, hurt, pain, anguish
all bundled into a fist
slamming into a wall
and emptiness left
coldness filling my heart
ice
frost
WHITE
purifying me
all sinful emotions gone

emptiness-
the rain stopped
a rainbow emerged
waterwashed sky
a swirl of colours
I saw only BLUE
blueness...
