a poem about depression bordering on insanity
shards

the darkness spreads wider
blanket for the insane
the mind a mess of fragments
shards of memory and pain
impossible to patch together
impossible to build it back
coherent thoughts forgotten
but pressure of all i lack
endlessly falling down
sucked into the black hole
destroying my fragile mind
ripping apart my soul
how much longer will it last
how much farther will it go
before the darkness overcomes me
and i finally let go
