Love Poems, what more is there to say...Read on!
As it happened one day two young people fell in love,
And it was surely meant to be.
They held each other and loved one another
And it was quite a site to see.
But as so often happens one began to doubt the other
And her eyes wondered astray.
She alighted on another that she’d known from her past
And she broke her vow that very day.
Now the boy left wandering and ignorant still
Didn’t know what his lassie had done.
Then one day she broke down and said that it was over
And that he was no longer the one.
The boy was grief stricken didn’t know what to do
He still loved her and cried for her in vain.
And she came back to him and apologized for her sin
And everything seemed to be the same.
But then out she went and did herself in again
And she told him all about her shame.
Well the boy loved her so and didn’t want to let her go
But he just couldn’t live with what she’d been.
They said their good byes and cried all their cries
And it’s been quite a while since then.
Well when they agreed to finally part they said they’d still be friends
And thought they knew what they had said.
And one day they met again and they saw what was lost
And their words for each other just wouldn’t leave their heads.
Now the moral of the story though it’s not hard to see
Is that you never can lie to yourself.
Even though you may try, and even though you may lie,
The truth is there in what you’ve been dealt.
