The Creature By James Photis
The Creature By James Photis
A
man was driving down a wooded road with forest on both sides at night
when his headlights came upon a head on the road. He stopped the car
and got out. He Looked down at it, and it was a head. It was the head
of a young man with brown hair, probably in his late twenties. He did
not touch it, but called the police. Five minutes later, the police
arrived. The police officer was shocked at what he was seeing. The
officer called for backup, and minutes later a homicide detective and
forensic people arrived. Forensics verified that it was real. The
detective had ten years' experience and never seen anything like
this. He scanned the area for any clues, but there weren't any,
only that spot where the head was found. There was a puddle of blood
where the head was, but nowhere else. The forensic technicians bagged
the head and had it taken to the coroner's office. A month has gone by since the murder, and the homicide detective was making no progress. It was a full moon when the station got a call that a head had been found in the parking lot of an office building located in a wooded area. The detective went on site to investigate. At one corner of the parking lot, there was a head next to a car. The area had woods all around, but no clues as to what did this. The victim was decapitated as the first victim. The head was in a puddle of blood, but no other clues. Now the detective had two homicides to investigate. Another month goes by, and another head is found. The detective now has three homicides to work on. Try to figure out what these homicides have in common. The
clues that he has are as follows: One day, a man was walking down a wooded road alone at night when suddenly, a creature jumped out of the woods. Another person walking in the opposite direction saw this and jumped into the woods behind a tree. He looked at what was happening while hiding behind the tree. The creature was at least six feet tall, very hairy, had the face of a wolf. The other person never saw anything like it. The creature proceeded to kill its victim and rip his head off. The other person was scared to death and stayed hidden. The creature took the body, but left the head on the road. The creature did not see the other person, and he stayed hidden behind the tree, terrified. After a while, he called the police and told them what happened, and the police dispatched a unit to him. When the police arrived, they found the head on the road. Then, the other person came out of the woods to greet them. The police called it in, and the homicide detective came to the scene. The detective asked the person what he saw. The person proceeded to describe the episode to the detective. At first, the detective didn't know what to make of the story. After a while, he said to himself, Why would he lie? The detective was trying to put all the pieces together. He had a detached head and no trail of blood. Just a puddle where the head was. The detective asked the person if he could come down to the station to describe what he saw to a sketch artist. The person agreed. At the station, the person sat down with a sketch artist and described what he saw. The creature was about six feet tall, stood on two legs, was very hairy, very muscular, long, hairy black paws with enormous claws, and had the face of a wolf. The artist showed the sketch to the detective. The detective looked at it and said, it looks like a werewolf. We know that it can't be because a werewolf is a myth. The detective then realized that the murders occurred during a full moon. Which coincides with a werewolf. The detective goes back to the scene of the last murder. He starts looking around for animal prints. He saw some animal prints on the path and traced them back to a cave on the mountainside. The detective went into the cave with his flashlight he could see inside. He found partially eaten bodies, all with no heads. The detective was in shock. He tried to pursue the paw prints, but there were none. He did notice a footprint leaving the cave. He lost track of the footprints when the creature entered the lake nearby. The detective could not make sense of the situation, but everything pointed to a werewolf. The detective encircled the area of the murders, on a map, and on the next full moon, intensified the patrolling of that area. On the next full moon, the creature jumped out of the woods and grabbed another victim. This time, there was a patrol car nearby and saw the victim being grabbed by the creature. They rushed to the scene, jumped out of the car, and started shooting at the creature. The bullets had no effect on the creature. It took off the head of the victim and went back into the woods with the body. The police were shocked, they couldn't believe what they just seen. The homicide detective was summoned to the scene. The police officers gave a description of what they witnessed to the homicide detective and gave the same description as the first witness, only this time, they opened fire on the creature to no avail. The detective searched for any clues. He found some pawprints along the side of the road. He followed the paw prints to the same cave he found earlier. Again, he followed the footprints to the lake, and they disappeared. The detective realized that the murders occurred within the vicinity of the cave. This
is what the detective had so far: All of this intimidated the detective. He had several silver arrowheads made up. The detective was an expert archer and on the next full moon, he took up a patrol of the area. He had his bow and arrows with the silver tips with him, as well as a shotgun. The detective came across a night shift crew working on the road when the creature jumped out of the woods. The detective leaped out of the car and started shooting the creature with his shotgun. It had no effect. So, he jumped back into his cruiser and got his bow and arrows. The creature was ready to pounce on a construction worker when the detective shot the creature through the neck with a silver arrow. That stunned the creature, and when it turned around, the detective shot it through the heart. The creature went down, but was not dead. With an axe the detective had in the trunk his car, he proceeded to chop the head off the creature. When he did that the creature changed to his original self. The detective recognized the man. It was his neighbor. This shocked the detective, his neighbor was a werewolf. The detective thought, "How did he get like that?". The detective wanted to find the source and know if there was any more.
