Because I want to run away

because I want to run away.
I want to see new places no one has ever been, where the sun hangs high in the sky, and the breeze leaves the salty air of the ocean in my hair.
I want to go where there are green parrots chirping in the trees,
where the rivers run clean. I want to leave this place and travel the seas,
I want to hold the rigging tight as the ship marches forwards, her sails filled with wind,
heave ho, towards the sun we go.



The day I will leave would be sunny. The air warm with a slight breeze. The sails will drop, and fill with wind.
We will sail away at the dawn of day.
Never to look back. never again.



Something sad within me. Its longing for things that aren't real. Freedom that cannot be obtained.
My soul wants to be free.
Free from society.
Free from expectations and restrictions.
Free from me.
Because no matter what happens, or where I go, I always follow.
I want to sail the seven seas and look forward above the hull of the ship, I would look at the endless waters from the crow's nest above.
I would heave the sails and navigate sea. I will go through storms and sunny days.
I would work hard for everything I earn.
I would bind the ropes, climb the rigging, and pull the anchor back up from the ocean floor.
I will sweat, and curse.
My muscles will ache and hurt.
my hands dry and cracked,
my skin so darkly tanned.
But my soul will be free.
And my brain would think in any way it wants
And my smile will be permanent on my face
And I would love the ocean spray
And the warm sunny air.
I would enjoy the morning when I wake up with my own purpose
When I sail my ship,
When i navigate the sea.
When I chart my course on the map I drew.
