A reassurance to the one I love
Honey, Honey

Honey, honey, hear me now,
I love you deeply, soul and vow.
I see today has been unkind,
But please don’t think you’re left behind.

I asked if home felt right today,
Not to push or pull away.
I only meant to give you space,
Not make you feel out of place.

I took a walk to clear my mind,
The world felt loud, too much combined.
It wasn’t anger, not at you,
Just needed quiet to push through.

I don’t know why you feel so wrong,
You carry doubt, but you are strong.
It isn’t truth, it’s fear that speaks,
A whisper pulling at your peace.

I’m moving forward, getting through,
But never once have I blamed you.
You think you’re heavy, weighing me,
But love, you’re light—you set me free.

I’ll say it once, I’ll say again,
You are not a weight, a strain.
No one is harder on you than you,
But love, your worth is deep and true.

I hate that I let my mood spill in,
This morning should have been our win.
If I were struggling, lost, unsure,
You’d hold me close—you’d reassure.

So let me do the same for you,
My wife, my heart, my steady truth.
My rock, my shore, my safest place,
Be kind to you—give yourself grace.

You deserve it, every part.
I love you, always, with all my heart.
